Revamping Value Proposition to drive 168% revenue growth Year-to-Year
Challange
Shifting to a subscription model and retaining user base
DailyArt approached us with a significant challenge: their existing monetization model was not reflecting their business model. Despite adding new content daily, DailyArt was still relying on a one-time payment model, which didn’t capture the ongoing value they provided.
They wanted to shift to a more appropriate model that ensured sustainable revenue and supported future growth. However, they were concerned about alienating their loyal users with the increased lifetime cost.
Approach
Serving users, to fuel the business
It was clear to us that, to justify the model and price change, we needed to present users with a stronger value proposition. We began by conducting user research to understand what motivated DailyArt’s audience. The key insight? Most users only engaged with the “Artwork of the Day” and were unaware of the app’s full archive of over 7,000 content pieces. This insight became the foundation of our strategy.
Our solution was to keep the core “Artwork of the Day” feature staying true to DailyArt’s DNA. At the same time, we introduced a complete set of premium features to elevate discovery experience, making it more engaging and inspiring for users to explore the app.
Solution
A redesigned premium experience for Subscribers
We wanted to elevate the way people can discover and experience art within the app. With Discover’s user-curated thematic collections, art city guides, advanced search engine, they are able to have an immersive and custom experience, tailored especially to their passions and interests.
Thanks to these changes, we were able to hint on DailyArt’s extended value and promote the subscription model in a non-obtrusive way.
A distinct visual language that complements the art
To enhance the refreshed experience, we proposed a completely new visual identity for the app. By using subtle yet recognizable color scheme and fonts, we created a style that is unique and characteristic, complementing rather than overshadowing DailyArt's core focus: the art itself. A cherry on top — microinteractions and animations make DailyArt a true connoisseur experience for any art lover
Seamless experience for all
To satisfy the app’s wide user group, we prioritized usability across various devices and aspect ratios on both iOS and Android. We made sure the design and texts looks stunning and clear in all 26 languages that are available on DailyArt — From English, through Ukrainian, Persian, Arabic up to Chinese and Japanese.
